ZObject as an image plane:Vue Interaction?

#1

hi,
I seem to have problems with my zbrush model, going into vue,its a multi million poly fish with sub tools on it(eyes, teeth gums)these are also high rez.( vue hangs).

Am i doing this wrong, if i render out a hi rez image in zbrush ,an alpha.(my final output in vue would be a still image, for photoshop)
Can i bring this image into vue, make a underwater scene and have the image fit into it?
i guess a caustic would not reflect properly against a file if it was a 3d object.
would lights work against it?
reflections?
can i render export all these options to go back into cs2 and put it all together/
Would my image plane idea work in vue?
any short cuts around this.

thanks

You could bring the Zbrush rendered model into Vue using a billboard, but if it is close to the camera, it will show the 2D plane. reflections and shadows will work on it, but caustics will look odd. I would rather use a proxy model in Vue (maybe the low poly cage) and use the multipass options in Vue to bring all this into Photoshop.
