Zbrush productive workflow question - Bump maps

#1

Hi Guys,
I’m pretty new to Zbrush and the 3D workflow it gets involved in.
This question is just about the workflow of Zbrush and how it can work.

Would I be able to create a bump map for my model in photoshop, then export that model with its bump map to Zbrush, to sculpt and detail more, then exporting all the changes to the model into a normal map / displacement map?

thanks in advance.

You could, but I’d import my model. Detail it how you want then create a texture, normal, displacement ect…then export your textures into photoshop and do you post work. This is only if you plan to do some polypainting. I’d probably texture after all the sculpting and detailing first though.
