Zbrush Newie Question:Separate meshes

zbrush beginner question here:

I watched a video on human sculpting by Joshua Morley. In the video he looked like he was using dynamesh to create the head and followed up by creating the torso,arms and legs. When it came to the hands,he used zspheres to form the structure. He managed to join the hand to the arm and hide the seam.So can anyone tell me how he did it?

PS. I was kinda impatient with waiting for a reply from him so i’ll just post it here among all you veterans lol =)

Probably the easiest way would have been to merge the subtools into one. ZRemesher or Retopo would ensure an even flow. He could have used other methods, in ZBrush there are many ways to skin a cat.

1 select demosolider
2 hide head
3 delete hidden
4 close hole
5 select IMM brush head
6 mesh fusion it
7 smoothed the neck and head seam where they meet

As the previous poster mentioned, you’ll merge the subtools. Make sure dynamesh is still active (if not, turn it on), and re-dynamesh. The action of re-dynameshing will fuse the separate pieces of geometry. From there, you can just smooth the seam right out.
