go into options and turn off normals. those are just the yellow indicators showing you wich way each patch is facing.
As an added comment, one can notice from your pic that many if not most of the normals are facing inward. It may not make a difference depending on your final material and rendering choices, but I do know that applying the porcelain material requires all normals facing the same way, ideally outward. There may also be other materials with this requirement.

p.s. There is a flip normal button from the drop down when you right click(on pc…not sure abt mac) when CPs/patches are selected. You might find the patch select tool helpful for this too.
Hello.
I’d like to add to eric’s observations. Hair materials also require outward-pointing normals. And particle collisions are also normal-sensitive. If you want blobbies or sprites to bounce off your character, those normals have to be flipped around. It’s just a good idea to have all the normals poking outwards.
Animation Master has a neat feature that makes realigning normals fairly painless. In the Project Workspace, in the Objects Folder, right-click on your model’s name and select “Refind Normals.” This will flip the normals around, so that they are poking out. For an automatic feature, it does an unusually reliable job. Kudos to Martin & Co. ![]()

Oh! Another tip: Hit the number “1” (along the top of your keyboard) while holding the shift key down. That’s the keyboard shortcut to toggle the normal visibility on and off.
