Yafaray 0.1.2 beta for Windows 64bit for Blender 2.54 beta

#1

Finally!!
As you know I usually post a thread every now and then and keep rambling about the latest updates for yafaray and or luxrender…
so, I was searching for some script settings and found an updated exporter for Blender 2.54 64bit Windows, yafaray. Still in alpha stage I believe… tried out some simple renders with it which clearly worked.
Not sure about texture support but I am gonna mess around with the settings some more later.

Here’s the link:

A quick render to try it out, nothing fancy I remind you.Lmao

Btw the update support for 2.54 was made September 21… in case you were reading the replies from August…

I am bumping this thread, in case some of you missed the information about a decent raytrace engine for the official beta…
see ya

Funny thing is though, that after a lot of working with the internal blender render I have realized that you can still make a good picture without a raytrace engine, lol. Funny how that works out.

I am listening. I’m interested in this technique … care to share? It seems the yafaray developers are targeting blender users on Windows OS mainly. I was hoping to find the Beta for Linux (had to opt for the source from github) … and still can’t get it to work (blender 2.54). :lightbulb I wouldn’t mind receiving setup guidance from gurus/forerunners like you …
