XTRM3D little corner

Looks cool as usual, love the little glowing ball
How heavy is the mesh?
I noticed that in all of those 4 lighting situation renders the key light is quite diffuse. Is it just like that in the hdri’s you’re using or is the sun just too flat in it’s range which is usually the case with hdri’s unless you ramp the sun disk up?

yup … i might have overdone teh post processing …
and my ““sun”” light is not too strong anyway

#243

last one for now… since i have to move to other projects

#244

just got a photo from the latest print … new exiting stuff in the making
printed at scale 1/35 . quite small actually

#245

I love it  What are the dimensions? Take a pic with a quarter coin in it or so maybe.
Also, what is the smallest detail scale the printer can print?
Makes me want to try the 3d printing too.

Cheers and great work as usual
Andre

i dunno … 1/35 scale… end up being very small …
i do not have the model with me … as it need to be sent to the caster to replicate it
would post picture later of another one… of teh same size

in the mean time
just uploaded a quick 10 minute show and tell about layered shader in octane/maya

#247

here that how those prints end up looking when final … those coins are us quarter

#248

Oh wow the figure is tiny and I am surprised by the small detail the printer was able to print. I hope the whole 3d printing gets cheaper soon so bigger ones become affordable as well.
Nice box in the background btw!

Cheers
Andre

#249

thx Andre… my business partner did design the boxe

almost done … still need to work on the background … and some lighting adjustment

#250

Looks cool as always! I liked the green glow sphere of your previous renders, this darker version doesn’t stick out that much.
And what the heck? GTA V boring already??

Cheers
Andre

#251

Like Andre I hope to grab one soon.

What is the model of your 3d printer?

thanks… next test with be with green ball
although i am kind of worried of bringing a new color in teh composition

gat 5 ? naaahhh it was great … just that i did finish it already …
now i feel revigorated with energy for personal work

we print with ownage

#253

getting close to the final renders …
tweaked the skin although i am not sure if i like it more … need to populate the wall with stuff and add DOF , then it should be good to go

#254

The lighting looks just great! Could you please post some screengrabs of your lighting setup and explain it a bit?

#255

Better composition! Maybe move the star on the wall a bit up so the sphere is at the center of it? And how does it look when the green sphere is the main light source for the scene? Could look cool!

Cheers
Andre

i would have 3 shots ( different angles )
if the green sphere become the main source of light …
i loose my nice red , and by the nature of octane … the render time would be shooting trough the sky to loose the grain

nothing magical about it …
classic tree light setup…

might be doing a video about it later

#258

Well, if I was going to make such image and use classic 3-light scheme, it would look definitely worse. =) So there is some kind of “magic” that is called “skill and experience”. It would be great to know how you approach such looks and build up your scenes.

#259

thanks …
would see it later when i do he video …
in teh mean time i would invite you to check those one :
