nothing crazy going on right there … standard zbrush shader ( sketch 3 and sketch 4 i think ) plus some compositing in PS …
for more advance stuff like the car i either render my outline in vray or mental ray … + maya toon shader … and then do my compo in PS

no sir , it’s all my own setup in octane for maya …as far as i know , the render setting you are refering are only existing for 3dsmax mental ray/vray …
I like the little glowing tube on the character’s side, nice little touch. How heavy is the dyna mesh of that guy?
thx , the dynamesh might be around 2 mill … but at teh end of the day , since i am rendering on gpu … i have to make sure that i stay low anyway … decimation master and zremesh are my best friends
