xStream 6.5 and Maya 2008 troubles

Ok, so I jsut spent all my hard earned cash on Maya 2008 after getting Vue xStream for christmas (lucky me :-D!), and now Maya is telling me that, since Vue was built on a previous version of Maya, M2008 cant load the plugin. Wtfers?! E-on doesnt awnser my emails and for some reason i cant regester an account with them because my product has already been activated… as far as I know its a 100% legit copy, came shrink wraped and everything…

Some help? I dont want to pirate an older copy of Maya to make it work, especially since I bought Maya2008 just because I got xStream.

Now almost anything I do in the Vue interface (external of maya obviously) causes it to crash…

My specs:

P4 2.66GHz w/HT (I know I know, its old)
2gb DDR(2?) RAM
WinXP Pro SP2
nVidia geForce 6600

Any help would be great, I’m really bummed that I cant use this stuff…

From my experience you will have to have the latest version and the correct plugins installer for the version of Max/Maya that you are running.

It would seem that thats the case, unfortunetly because e-on wont let me regester Vue, I cant get the update :(. Any ideas?

and videodv, I followed those tutorials to a T, but thanks anyway.
