hello vray and xgen users , i am using xgen for fur on a model , everything works great expect one thing , i can.t assign texture i painted in zbrush in the xgen hair , is their a tutorial or trick that makes me assign this map after turning it into ptex into my hair shader , i know i should plug a hair sampler into my shader , but how that makes the shader read the painted texture , tahnx alot

the hair sampler will atomatically pick up the extra attribute “root_color”…
here is one for arnold… but its the same for vray…

thanx oglu for the reply , i finaly know how to do it , i did these steps before , but i forget to drag the hair sampler for the hair node into the specular and trans. hair node , and ofcourse the name of the attribute ( tip_color and root_color ) is so important
