Hi
I’mtrying to create a vary large field of grass with Xgen assuming that it will be as flexible as possible. The goal is to create one camera dependent preset and import it on a very large landscape with as few changes as possible to render final image. To this point I’ve manage to create such a preset but the problem is time for it to render. At this point i was trying to use the “Only primitives in view” option and it helped a lot (15 min vs 60 min). But the outcome of using this option is very difficult to predict. When “view margin” is set to 5 i get almost horizontal line not related with render camera frustum (and any other camera in the scene). Even using the value 90 not always covers entire camera field of view. I’m using 3Delight for maya but in arnold this function works almost the same. Is there a way to get proper results from this option?
