Write on with cursor

Hi guys,

I have to create a Write on effect, with the letters following a cursor.

For the cursor I will use a paint or solid and I will change the opacity using a loop.

But, is there a way of the cursor show the letters (like we write in any PC/Mac) automatically?

What´s the best way to do that?

  • make a new paint layer
  • create your text
  • animate the “write on” property of the textobject
  • animate a rectancle from left to right and set the X position interpolation to “constant”
  • if you like animate the opacity like you wrote

I found out that the constant interpolation makes it look 100% better.
You have to create keys at least every 4 or 5 frames.
