Wrap subtool around another?

Hi, is it possible to fit a mesh to the contour of another? Say I’ve got an armor plate that I build flat, can I get it to wrap around a character’s thigh?

I’d probably start by using a bend deformer or starting my model from an extraction. Now that I think about it, bringing an extraction into my 3d app to start is probably the best approach…
