World space IK

Daniel is able to move joints like this in FK. From what i understand the rotations are parented but the transforms are the same.
Please can someone explain or have any link on how to adopt this onto my standard FK/IK rig of a dog leg?

This doesn’t really have anything to do with IK, it’s a basic orientation space switch on each FK joint, usually “the world” is represented by the main control so that the entire rig can be transformed into place and everything still behaves predictably.
