Working far from the workstation (KVM extender)

#1

I’m looking for a way to use a workstation while sitting quite far from it (at least 10 m).
I don’t want the video to be compressed nor suffering any latency.

Does someone does this ? How do you do that ?
I also like to have review from users of KVM extender products.

Think Logical Velocity products are too expensive, I would like a cheaper system.

I will try a vga KVM extender + long hdmi cables for video (I have a 12m).

I work in a web company doing mainly developpement. We have a website involving lot of videos. We shot 600 x 40min go pro footage, then stabilize them using a render farm. We have processed 60Tb of uncompressed data past year. Each video is 100GB made of 3MB images, file transfer from NAS to workstation are endless. I want to build a 12 drive Raid 6 worksation for the videographer. The problem is that those beast make noise, too much for an open space, so it will be in a separate room.

This is built for exactly such a task.

Cheaper alternatives would be USB extenders over Ethernet and DVI extenders over SDI, but those are limited to 1920x1080 resolution since they are for broadcast.

Thank you olson. This solution is too expensive.

I will stick to long HDMI cable and cheap KVM for USB.
