Workflow with green screen in Max?

Ok this is what I have:
A man filmed against a green screen as tga sequence, not yet keyed.
AE, Combustion and Max to work with.
I want to do some camera movents in Max with the actor infront of a wall and some particles flying in the air.

This is a draft how I want it to look, the actor is a still in this one but he’s going to move in the final one.

The problem I’m struggling with is how I’m going to get the alpha right from the green screen.
It looks good when I’ve keyed it in AE but when i take it in to Max I get the very disturbing light “halo” around the caracter.
And then I want to get it in to Combustion in different layers for colorcorrection and applying some blur.

Do any one have a good workflow for this kind of job?

you probably dont want to bring the guy keyed into max, but rather, render the particles out and composite the two in either AE or combustion.

i might suggest RPF for the particles, that way you can do 3d compositing in combustion and place the man “in” the particles without any need for masking.
