hi folks,
here i reworked the same concept to balance the perspective and make the mattepainting more interesting. As per rules we need the use our given base picture 50%. i created this concept with the vast bg landscape details. and also i plan here to show the world and its civilization more in detail.
meet u soon with more detail look. give ur comments to improve … :slight_smile:

Hi Sankara and welcome to the challenge.
Your concept is still very rough, yet i would say the distortion of the provided plate is quite
heavy in the second one.
Also you might consider not to limit yourself too much by the 50% -usage rule ( hey, i know that´s not a word…^^). The way i see it ( but maybe that´s just me …)is that you should use 50% of the material provided, but it doesn´t necessarily mean half of your final plate have to show the original kreola picture.

Torsten is right. You would most likely still have to clean up the plate and couldn’t just use it out of the box as it is. It’s not a mathematical formula. We just don’t want your image to lose the relevance to the plate. The base image provides a common ground for everybody to start with but it is up to you where you take it…

Hi Sankara,

Welcome to the forum challenge.

I don’t think you need to rush into a final concept just yet, there is still plenty of time to play around with the layout. It might be good to look through some of the other entries, as there are quite a few similar layouts.

It took me a while to try and get my head around the obvious things that arise from the provided plate and brief, and then try and take it in a different direction.

ya thanks james,

i spend some time around other concepts, i agree some layouts are similar looks like. here we are going to do a mattepainting ,i dont want to complicate the composition. and also my idea is show the entire world, thats why i simplied the compsition , plan t o work detail on the looks like steam punk style…

thanks for the advice.surely iwill tweak my composition which looks more interesting.
