Will PLE work be able to be imported into "full version"?

#1

Hello VUE users.

I’m totally new to this wonderful tool, and I’m basically “evaluation” VUE these days, to see if it’s the software of choose for a new project I need to make for a client.

If I do some work in xStream PLE for Maya (MAC), will I then be able to “use” this work if I get a “full Version”?
Basically I want to start to create a scene and if I can use that later if I get a full version of xStream that would be wonderful, so I don’t have to do the same work twice.

Would really appreciate any help:)

Cheers

As far as I know, you can’t use files created in the PLE with the full version.

Once you buy Vue7 from the “buy now” button in the PLE, your version will be unlocked, and you’ll be able to use all scenes created in PLE mode.
At least, this was the case with Vue6PLE.

Thx a lot for the answers!

U can open scenes created in PLE only on the same machine with licence. So if U have Ple at home and full Vue in work it is a problem. But if U have one Vue with floating licence and two computers with Vue at work, and U work on one machine in Ple mode then U can borow a licence , open PLE-file and resave it in licenced mode U can get a full normal file.

The answer is NO, you can not. It plainly gives you this message and explains that ANY scene created with PLE will NOT work at all with the full version of Vue 7. It is for “learning” only. Again, this message is clear everytime you save a scene or work in the Vue 7 PLE version.
