This is very inconvienient. I animated my whole scene with cameras panning in or zooming at different times in a dialogue scene and the camera was set-up and playblast are perfect as they only show upper body during this dialogue scene and not lower body. But rendering in maya messes everything up (i am using mental ray). It’s dimensions are different whereby the rendered images have the character lower body being shown as well upto their knees. But the lower body is not animated. Also, if i adjust the camera in a way so that now the renderer doesnt render the lower body, it will be a lot of work as the camera pans/dollys/zooms differently at various points in the scene and that will just mean i have to animate everything again. Surely, there is a simple way of just rendering according to the viewport and playblast dimensions and get a rendered sequence out just like your perfect playblast?
I am an animator and usually my personal work in the past has stopped at the playblast stage. Any help appreciated.
