why doesn't my tracked video object render? please help

i’ve tracked a video and inserted an object into it. i’m trying to render out just the object, with an alpha background. but the thing is, i’ve followed a tutorial, but all i could render out in animation is just total blackness. when i render it out with f12, the object appears. can someone help please?

If you want an alpha background you need to select a format that can have an alpha channel such as a png or tiff image sequence.
Also if you want to render from the sequencer you need to select the ‘Do Sequence’ button under Anim.

thanks alot! funny thing is, in the tutorial, it said to turn off the Do Sequence button and use Quicktime instead of the usual tiff, etc.
