Hey guys, I have rendered several large scale projects with lots of buidlings and landscape but for some reason the buildings near the edge of the render start leaning badly. Is this normal? Can it be fixed. Thanks. Oh…I love VUE
Why do buildings look leaning over
It’s the standard 3-point perspective. If you were to take a picture, it would look the same. Some architectural software (SketchUp) can adjust for this, but Vue cannot.
You can adjust focal lens to 55-105 this will reduce falling in effect.
Also you can adjust settings in Advance camera options adjusting vertical FoV and horizontal FoV as well lens aberration. Than should fix falling buildings effect.
Yes, adjusting the focal lens to something large, like 150 (zoom way back) creates the oft-used “Detroit perspective” but is not perfect. I don’t think FoV vert or horiz will do much as they are tied directly to the focal lens settings. Also, the lens aberration only creates a curve to the building profiles, so I’d suggest not using it.
The best idea is what Vladamir (Ami?) says to adjust focal lens to something large.
Select the Camera then look at the info panel for it above the preview window. It’s called ‘focal’ and typically has the default setting of 35mm.
