Where is stuff?

Can anyone tell me where Maxon has now put “Replace With”. It used to be here > Character > Commands > Replace With. I swear I can’t find anything in R21 and the help guide is no help at all (returns too many results that aren’t relevant). Thanks!

I finally found it under the tools menu, but it doesn’t appear to be working - at least not like it used to. I would appreciate some input on what might be going on. Can anyone else get it to work? Thanks.

It seems you have to double click to make it work. This is new since I used it in R17.

All works with one click for me. First choose object to replace then Replace command and then choose object which will replace first selected… It was different for R17?

I can’t reproduce your issue. For me a single click onto an object in viewport or in Object Manager is enough to replace.

Also, when looking for stuff like this, I usually use the Command. Shift-C, start typing “repl” and done. Also after typing “repl” and having “Replace With” shown in commander, you can right click it, call the online help and see there it’s placed in the Tools menu.

For me the entire UI cleanup makes sense and I do like it a lot (well, with the exception, that “Save” and “Save as” got renamed). But I understand that this is a matter of taste.

I’m having to double click. I will try at the office today to see if it’s any different. It may be that the mouse is sticking - haven’t been real happy with it.
