When i put some already animated object into one Null (parented it) it shifts its position


Hello, when i put already animated object under one parent in scene, it changed its position, i know that i had this problem in past but i workarrounded it somehow but now i am thinking what is going on, i figured it out within constraint tag but why i cannot do it with just one null i put the hierarchy into without changinh its place? i know something what it could case (absolute and relative position maybe?)


If the null is centered in wold space things should work fine. You cant parent pre animated objects to a null without having them shift position relative to the new center point created by the parent null


I think you could use the Set Parent command. Should retain position etc.


Yes I stand corrected. Set Parent works! Still learning after all these years.
