Hello everyone, I hope this is the correct thread, Im ready to finally purchase a tablet and was wondering what would be a good one for a beginning 3D Artist to buy? I use Max, Photoshop, Mudbox so I really need one of these.

I would second that suggestion. The 6x8 Wacom Intuos is the size used at my studio. It seems to be the common one. I use a small graphire at home, but it seems just a tad bit small for doing artwork. Of course, you could go larger, but then you’ve got to look at your desk real estate :D.

What’s the size/dimensions of your monitor? If you have a widescreen, then the 6 by 11 will be a better fit. This isn’t to say that the 6 by 8 would be a bad option, it would just mean you might either want to adjust the settings of the tablet each time you connect so your drawings don’t appear stretched.
