i’m new to mb and just looking into a possibility to use for a future project and if it’s worth getting into it.
but so far from what i’ve seen from the video tutorials and so on nowhere it seemed to require to weight/ paint the rig setup…
can anyone give me some idea about that and how it works in mb?
in case it’s not so clear what i meant, it’s:
weight painting or enveloping the mesh to bones and adjusting the influence of weight colors.
it just seems to me this step that is necessary in all other animation apps (xsi, maya, 3ds, etc.) seems not necessary in motionbuilder…
?
MB has this functionality, however it is far below rudimentary. I would only use it for a stray vert or two. I would go back to the home app and re-import if more weighting than that is needed.
so you actually have to weight paint the envelopes and bring back in mb?
for some reason i thought it was a magic trick inside mb because in none of the video docs it appeared.
