Are there software technologies that we can use to help us with our waste management? For multi-site businesses, effective waste stream management is a big challenge with significant cost and efficiency implications. You see our company is adhering with global waste regulations and we need a solution that can help us achieve better cost-effectiveness and a well-developed comprehensive waste reduction plan. This will enable us to manage and reduce waste, ensure regulatory compliance and improve our environmental performance.
Waste Management Issue
are you talking solid waste or wastewater? if it is the later this would be a combination of: sensors, pumps and motors, PLC’s and a scada/HMI, SQL to keep records. Rockwell automation for PLC and HMI, numerous companies for pumps and motors, sensors are a mixed bag depending on how you want to measure the stream.
Some sites can provide full details about waste management services and tools. There’s a technology platform that could help you with an approach towards monitoring and reducing waste.
I know when i need to take a huge dump, waist management is always an issue. Sometimes the toilet is ineffective and sometimes the plumbing is over a hundred years old. The worst parts are those holiday gatherings and do i eat. I am a corn person and i can eat at least a dozen or so corn on the cobs. After a few sips of cranberry wine, it is off to the crapper and i could be in there at least two hours or more. I blame the corn and it is just piles and piles of corn in my stool. Sometimes it gets so bad i have to grab a shovel and scoop it out of the clogged toilet and dump it outside in a deep hole. I was told to forget about the corn but i just love corn no matter how long i spend in the bathroom. So there you have it, grab a corn on the cob, butter it up all melting, yum, yum, yum… and savor every last bite of that sweet old fashioned home cooking just like my old mama used to do back in the old town. So if you ever see me in the market, hit me up and grab some corn cobs and butter.
Loools…oh I haven’t laughed like that in ages, literally had tears streaming down my face.
Thanks for sharing :keenly:
You have not tried corn with butter and grated cheese? That is waaaay better.
That might make you eat more of it though.
Just curious. Is that what is used to clean water after it is used by laundry shops?
I think I’ve heard about this. There are some comprehensive waste reduction companies that I’ve looked into. I believe that they help out in waste management, as well. It don’t know if that is what I am looking for, though. I am not sure if they can help with multi-site management.
generally yes, at least here in US. wastewater is defined as water used for washing clothes and dishes, bath/showers and toilet water. it all goes to the wastewater treatment plant where it undergoes various different treatment processes for release (effluent) back into environment.
