Can i get rid of a walkcycle in order to animate a character? What is necessary in order to make it move on a distance?
Walk Cycle, a Need?
you can always remove keyframes if that’s what you mean? if your asking how to animate a walk cycle forward instead of in place it simply involves moving the entire form on the desired axis then looping the keyframes.
In maya i know how to offset a walkcycle to make it move forward, but i am asking key by key movement and changing direction or so. Is it practical? Can this be achieved using maya track in a pose by pose fashion? I have never used (I really have never animated a character in maya just in 3dsmax with biped which is easier.) I was remembering a funny training tutorial called the Animator´s gym where they move the character moving the hip and legs but i dont know if that is possible to do with a rigged character in the new rigging system in maya 2013.
