Wacom 13hd and hdmi external monitor question

If my laptop has only one hdmi port used for an hdmi external monitor, how can I plug the wacom so that both the wacom and the external monitor can be used as a dual monitor?

Usually anytime an external monitor is plugged in you can select to show on one, both, or extend the desktop. It just depends on drivers and the graphics card dealing with showing multiple screens.

Thanks. But the port is already used by the external monitor, where do I plug the wacom?

Ahh sorry I somewhat read too quickly, I understand now. Sounds like you just need a splitter to plug in two devices from one port. Something like this maybe?
