Vue7 xstream and maya export not possible?

Hi, we are currently looking at vue for a project.
We have the trial of vue 7 xstream.

But when we load the vue plugin in maya, and try to export a simple cube in maya to vue , through the vue plugin(menu) that gives the option to export the whole scene or seperate objects, maya just crashes. Just says it crashes and tries to save to c:… etc…

Nothing special of an error, and it all just shuts down.

We are using vista 64, Maya 2009 64 bit and vue 7 xstream ple 64 bit.
System i7 940.

Also tried it on 2 other systems, get the same problem. but all 64 bit systems.
some issue with 64 bit? or does the trial not work properly, and idears?

Any help would be apreciated.

We have had contact with people at eon, they told us to run in admin mode, but even when everything as admin rights, still the explort from maya to vue crashes.

…and I mean “feature” in the nicest, most humble way.

But it could be a “feature” of the PLE, except that I have had the same luck with full version of Vue 7.2 and Maya 2009.

Instead, export your geometry from Maya as .obj objects, and then import into Vue running as a standalone application. Vue xStream is, as far as my experience has gone, untested and unimplemented with Maya. I’ve seen people using it well with 3DS Max, but so far all reports about Maya tell us that Vue xStream doesn’t work well (or at all) inside of Maya.

This was also true with Vue 6 xStream. I returned my copy within three days of that garbage, and instead opted for Vue 6 Infinite, which was also buggy, unstable, and generally useless.
