Vue7 renders black sky???

#1

Hi ppl!
I am using Vue7 Xstream. matter of fact i am learning it, so i encountered one problem yall probably heard of, i just couldn’t find anything on the subject… here it is:

I set up a scene, load atmosphere (does not matter what atmosphere it is, any spectral one), create some objects, terrain ecosystem etc. the render quality is set to preview, everything renders fine. i go to atmosphere editor, switch atmosphere to AO, GI or GR (doesnot matter either) and render out. renders fine.
but soon as i switch to the FINAL or BROADCAST (or basically anything thats better than preview) quality of the render, it messes up. VUE renders the scene without sky. totally without it… it renders black sky and renders terrain and ecosystem with no global lighting…
has anyone encountered anything like this?
sorry if the question is dumb

Did you let it finish rendering ?
Vue7, does a prepass rendering, sorting out the GI, etc.

If you saw this and you stopped the render, then you missed
It is just the prepass and the sky looks black in this.

If you let it finish you will see the correct sky.

Hope that this is the “problem”

Hi
you have to use MentalRay for rendering images with Vue-Xstream.
It is mentioned here under integrated rendering:
