vue 6 xstream , max 9 and scale issues

#1

Hi

I am trying to produce distant rolling hills and such rendered in Vue for a background pass.
I am able to get sync plugin to export the camera path in fine, but im having trouble with the imported objects scale to match the 3dmax 9 scene.

Does anyone know of guidlines for getting objects the correct scale ?

Thanks in advance.

Ah,
Found the issue,
Objects from max need to be scaled up 10* to match the camera sync.

It depends on your units in max, I posted this in the vue forum:

If you go into the camera’s animation tab, you will notice Vue automatically applies a scale of 10. What I do is, scale the camera animation back to 1, and then it matches fine. Vue’s scale is still screwy, but this way both the camera and imported objects are screwy in the same way.
Vue will re-scale the camera to 10 if you re-sync the camera, so you might have to do it more than once.
