Vue 6 Infinite/xStream?

#1

Right I’m thinking of upgrading to Vue 6 but undecided on what to use my main 3D package is Lightwave which I’m also thinking of doing all my rendering in as well.

So on the table is Vue 6 Infinite/xStream is the xSream version worth the extra cash and have to camera tools imporved from Vue 5 Infinite as it’s dog slow even on a Quad Core!

I’m mainly wishing to mix environments in Vue with 3D models and matt paintings out of Lightwav eand Photoshop.
any advice would be of greta help any one with experience of the Lightwave / Infinite/xStream work flow?

i prefer v6i over xstream anyday, but for some xstream do work and if so it do provide you with alot easier integration with lw.
But if you can settle for v6i and lw i think that would be a far safer bet to pick up.
Check out the ple and see if you can make that work out for your pipeline.

Don’t waste your money on Xstream. It is flakey as hell and you will end up rendering everything in vue anyway.

The only reason I would say to get Xstream is if you only want to render still images. Then it seems to work pretty well.

If you plan on getting xStream for Lightwave, check out asilefx.com they have released a training dvd about LW and xStream integration.
