VRaySun + bump map = NEED HELP!

#1

I’m currently learning 3dsmax and vray renderer. I’ve been getting a strange glitch when using vraysun + bump maps. It appears that bump maps are calculated as if there are no walls. Flipping normals does not help. It looks like I have to create an artificial shade for the walls above them, so that the sun rays do not hit the walls on the back side.

Here is what it looks without the sun:

With vraysun enabled:

I’ve been following the workflow from this tutorial:

Before writing here I tried many options in the renderer, lights and vray materials, but no use. I’m pretty sure it’s an easy fix for somebody knowledgeable in vray. THANK YOU!
