vray-nuke projection camera workflow?

#1

I am just starting to get back into using vray again after a break. I was hoping there was someone who has used the vray cameras in their workflow that could give me some advice.

In essence I am worried that if I set up a vray camera as a projection cam, I will not be able to transfer it to nuke with the same attributes because it has been over ridden by changing it to a vray physical cam.

My first thought was to create a vray camera that can be duplicated as a normal maya camera with respect to its aspect ratio/aperture but on creating a vray camera I have found that it has overridden the aperture and it remains constantly at 1.

Has anyone had any experience using vray cameras for rendering, then transferring them to Nuke as a projection camera?

Thanks for any help
Dudley

Hey man, I do this all the time, and use this guys plugin, it works pretty well for this exactly. If you’re into Vray for Maya, his shader library script is pretty nice too.
