Vray Light color problem

When I try to give the vray rectangle light in Maya a bluish purple color, instead it comes out in pink!

why is that?
how can I get the color I need?

update: it looks like the whole scene was too big, I scaled it down. now it works better

That’s what happens when your light is extremely bright. A tiny bit too much red, and it turns pinkish. Red with just a tiny bit of green in it will turn yellow. Over-bright lights make the colors really touchy. You can see this happen in real life too.
