Vray grainy shadow edges

#1

Hello guys,
So a few days ago I started learning something really new for me,a vray rendering.
Im really newbie in 3d rendering and in 3d overall so if i won’t attach enough document correct me.
I watched some tutorials how to create a glassy texture in 3ds max with help of vray and wanted to follow along them, hopefully that everything will be alright.
As always it ended up the same my render output of shadows is terrible, they are grainy on the edges and seems to be very low quality.I checked out a lot of forum threads with the same problem and nothing did help me. I increased the subdivisions to 64 and still the same.I will leave screenshoots of my render settings and the render output.
Thanks in advance.

Check your light settings. I don’t use 3ds max, but in maya I’d check the attributes of the light, under shadows > raytrace attributes and increasing the number of shadow rays (maybe a range of 8 - 64) or decreasing the light angle (1-5).

Well I actually found out that increasing the light samples to around 32-64 fixes the problem thanks for your reply tho,Im just new to vray and I wasn’t aware of that vray standart render settings are so unoptimized.
