Hello, i have a problem regarding environment lighting and hdr maps in 3d max and vray:
I want to have a scene that is lit by an hdr map, and also have a hdr map in the environment slot, so that i can see the picture in the background, and also have an hdri ilumination of the scene.
But my problem is that the map in the 3dsm environement slot is casting a light over the scene that i cannot turn off. I want to turn off the light that the environment map cast over the scene, so i can use that exclusively to control how lit is the sky, and then use the vray environment skylight override to control how lit is the scene. Is there a way to do this?
Please help im kinda of desperate for making this work, and please excuse if my writing is weird as i am not a native english speaker.
