Now that Darkling Simulations has released a Max 2012 version of Simbiont (yay!) I finally got it installed yesterday. Every time I change the material type in the MatEd to VraySimbiontMtl Max crashes. Can anyone else verify this? I’ve been trying to troubleshoot some instabilities on my workstation and I’d like to know if this is a Vray or Simbiont bug or if it’s just me.

Having just checked the ChaosGroup forums it seems I am not alone in this problem. Unfortunately I am unable to post there to add a “me too” to the thread reporting the problem.

Just an update to this for anyone who’s interested. It only crashes when using the compact MatEd. Works fine in Slate. Chaos Group has confirmed the issue.
