“Volumetric, cloud and mixed materials canno’t be loaded as a layer. Please choose another material”
That message is making me crazy, I don’t know what its on about. It does it for most of the materials i want to use.
Is there something i need to uncheck?

Mixed materials can be used in Layers, but they have to be the bottom layer only. There is a really informative thread at Renderosity about layered materials.

And yes, as far as I know, only simple materials can be in the layers.
