Viewport problems with XSI 7/7.5

#1

Hi,

When i try to create a new polygonal mesh, let’s say a cube, and increase it’s subdivisions to any number, the new “cube” becomes distorted (it is clearly visible in the image below).

But the cube renders well, so i assume this is some kind of a viewport problem.
I had no such things going on with XSI 6.5. I tried various ways of solving this problem, nothing worked. Anyone had something like that? :surprised
I know my computer wasn’t biuld for 3d, but it’s ok for simple learning purposes. (Downloaded many trials of other 3d software).

OS: Vista 64bit
CPU: T2330
GPU: Intel X3100

Intel graphic chips are broken. To work around the problem, try setting this environment variable
XSI_EMULATE_OPENGL=1.4

NEVER buy or settle for a laptop or desktop with Intel graphics!

If it doesn’t have NVidia or I can’t put NVidia into it, I don’t want it…

Yeah, i know. I bought this laptop about 6 months ago for office work, not 3d modeling. As for now i am just playing with 3d, so no plans for a new one :wink:
