viewport bug in Mudbox

#1

I have a large black band covering the bottom section of my viewport. The black band would merely be annoying by itself, but it isn’t just that I lose that screenspace. The viewport actually seems to be offset upwards by the height of that bar, but the cursor detection is not. So in order to sculpt on the area of a model which I want, I have to guess where the area would be, offset by that distance, and draw there. Placing the brush cursor directly over the area I want does not sculpt there, I have to position my cursor lower on the screen. This is a big problem.
My graphics card is the nvidia GeForce Go 6800. I searched nvidia’s website, but there appears to be no new drivers for it. I have running mudbox version 1.07. I uninstalled and reinstalled mudbox, but the problem still persists.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

install new graphic driver…

Thank you for the link, Oglu. However, I already tried to install that driver last night, and I got a message telling me that it is not compatible with my hardware. (GeForce Go 6800)

I think the problem IS the graphics card, because I don’t get the viewport problem when I run mudbox on other computers. However, it appears that nvidia never really supported the Go 6800 with driver updates. Bummer.

Thank you! I installed a new driver from that site and now the problem is gone.
