Video player with overlay function?

Hi,
I’d like to ask if anybody knows of any free video players that is capable of playing quicktime movies (playblast movies) with an overlay effect?

As in, I’d like to compare my current animation take with my previous animation take. Instead of watching them side by side or after one another, I’d like to watch them at the same time, on top of each other/overlaid.

I know there should be some player with this function but I don’t know what the name is and if it requires some kind of license? Free is definitely preferable :slight_smile:
