I had this exact same problem a year ago and now forgot what I had done to fix it!
My mouse jumps around a lot, Photoshop CS 4 is slooow. This shouldn’t happen as I have 4 2.6 Gig processors, 8 gigs of ram (half of which Photoshop can use), and a GeForce 8800 Ultra. The file I’m working on is simply 3.5x2 inches at 400 DPI.
I’ve tried allocating more and less RAM, changing scratch disks and cache levels, nothing seems to work.
Any ideas? Thanks a ton
I have exactly the same problem, Photoshop CS3 works much quicker. I thought it had to do with CS4 now uses your graphic card, But I have tried all kind of setting and turning of the use of my graphic card (nvidia 8600m gt)
Its very frustrating. I have asked my laptop manufacturer, adobe and nvidia about it by either of them know whats going on, or just send me in another direction…
I have a Zepto laptop, duo processor, 2 gb ram and 8600m gt graphics…
