It was the story of my aunty and she was very much exited while telling her story. As it was her husband’s very first car…a 1969 Cougar. He bought it from his friend Frank when he was 18, for $350. It was dirty and run down when he bought it. He worked on it constantly and fixed it up to become the beautiful car you see in the picture. He washed it everyday…
He would never dream of going out with a dirty car. He learned how to change the oil, change the spark plugs and correct the timing. He didn’t have a lot of money, so he figured out how to tune and fix the car by himself. He bought a new craiger stereo and put that in, and blasted the music like every teenager does. They were dating then, and she always felt so special to ride in the car with him. Like any other romance…she just never forgets that movement first!
