Vertex Colors based Shadow Control

I’m trying to use the Toon Retouch method that this guy uses : Gotetz Rendering Test
But i’m having some problems… the shader should react to the vertex paint, by filtering the Red and Blue Channels, as shows in Gotetz Setup below:

I’m doing exactly what is shown, and my shader just don’t react to the vertex paint… am i doing something wrong?

My Setup

The presets are exactly = to Gotetz’s, but … Any Idea of what’s happening?

Well, thanks a lot, i figured that i was using the wrong “Gradient”
