V-Ray...pre-cache the GI solutions???

1)First, pre-cache the GI solutions. Go up to the main OUTPUT tab and change the resolution to 1/2 the size of the final resolution (2/3 to full size would be better, but not generally needed) and click on ALL FRAMES with Frame Step at 1, but dont save anything.

what on earth does this mean? first pre-cache the gi solutions…

never mind I just brute force everything

That’s no way to work…

Precache here means prerender. All you need to do is press F9 to do a quick render, then in Irradiance map and light cache save the file, and tell it to read from file. Works just the same as final gather maps.
