V-ray: don't want to see V-ray sky in final image

#1

Hey everybody !

I use a v-ray sun and a v-ray sky to illuminate my scene. But I d’ont want to have the background (the v-ray sky) in my final render. So I unmark use map in environement. But because of that, the lighting is obviously not the same.

So i was wondering if it’s possible to keep the light from the sky without seeing it on my final image. Actualy I need a black background for my compositing

thx for you help

You can keep the “Use Map” unchecked, and put the VraySky map in the GI Environment ,Reflection/ Refraction and Refraction environment Override slots from the Render Settings. So the background will render black and the lighting will be the same.

Try unchecking the background override not the environment override.

#4

Thx for your reply!

where can i find the background override ?

#5

In the render globals, go to the second tab and you should see the environment rollout. You can change the override for the background there.

#6

ok thx I wil check that
