Hi! I need help with uvw unwrapping. Situation looks like (picture) and i don’t know what i did wrong. Seems to me something with vertices sharing same map…and they are connected on uvw viewing all ids
Thank you for help
uvw unwrap messed badly
Convert the object again to editable poly/mesh etc and then apply UV map modifier.
I fixed this problem sometimes.
Break up the UV’s a bit more… one for the head and one for the body is too little I think (for the head though, use a cylindrical map, and put the seam at the back of the head).
E.g. Break the arms uv’s off of the body (hehe, sounds real fun), and use a cylindrical map for the arms, same story for the legs. You might need to break them down further to get better mapping and less stretching.
Hope I helped…
*** Edit: Actually, I can’t really see much in the image you posted… maybe a higher res pic? I just realised I can’t actually see much

Play around with the flatten and normal mapping functions until you get something where all your pieces are not mashed on top of each other. UVW mapping is tricky and sometimes requires a bit of fiddling. I’ll try to have a bit of a tutorial out by the end of the week…
thank you for answers i will get into them this weekend for sure and i’ll post results

i am in! regardless price!
