UVs lost when above level 3?

Hello,

I am working on a panther, adding detail to nose and such for a lil project i am working on. The proble that i am running into is when i bring detail above a level 3 (111,000+) faces i lose the Uvs that have been laid out. Tryin to export my normal map is no allowed due to this. I was curious if anyone else had this problem? I am using mudbox 2010.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks

Use the recreate level UV’s function.

you can use other way - sculp in mb, create more levels, more details in sculp. then take a low-poly model (you can take the first level of subdivision) and create UV for it (in other program, such as 3dmax or headus uv) and then import it. then bake to it normal map. next step - import only low-poly mesh, apply to it normal map (mb can display it in real-time), and paint over it. i think, its faster and closer to game.

i use ot, because sometimes lose uv coordinates too. its work :slight_smile:
