I tryed myself ZBrush spotlight . i didn’t used Mari but I saw some tutorial last night about projecting images using references to create realistic human skin textures.
I was thinking a lot way before and I don’t think this is good method for creating human skin textures. The reason I’m opening this thread is to ask am I wrong because I still kinda see some
advantages in this method but then again I can’t find it fully useful.
Reasons:
- It’s hard to find references from different angles of the same face/head on the net
- you won’t learn anything about painting skin because you just tracing.
- event if you find good reference images that’s only for one 3d model.
- what if you have to paint old human skin, it’s hard to find specific references of older people.
