Using 'shift' key to pan the view instead of 'alt'?

#1

I come from a background of using Sketchup and Rhino for 3d modeling. Therefore, I’m used to using shift while doing the panning of view.

I am absolutely new to Cinema 4d. The default navigation requires holding alt and dragging the middle mouse button for panning the view. How can I change this to using ‘shift’ instead of ‘alt’ key?

I went to window>customization>customize commands but can’ find the option to do so.

By default the 1, 2 & 3 keys are Pan, Zoom & Orbit.
Easier to get used to than MMB navigation (at least for me).

The cross-platform navigation keys are hard coded I believe and cannot be changed. But you can set up additional keys for panning, zooming and rotating, as above, these are 1, 2 and 3 by default.

I found it finally and now am able to use the same navigation style that I use in SketchUp and Rhino.

Earlier I was using the keyword ‘panning’ or ‘pan’ to try the customization. It was actually ‘move camera’ what I should have been looking for instead.
